Week 1 Giants - Cowboys:

After an opening ceremony involving Super Bowl XXI MVP Phil Simms, Super Bowl XXV MVP Otis Anderson and All-Time Great Michael Strahan, the mood seemed to be set for the night, but in typical Giants fashion the defending Super Bowl Champions decided they had won already and instead were pushed around on both the offensive and defensive sides of the line of scrimmage due to lack of focus in my opinion. Tony Romo had a great night while having the better night of the two QB's and found a new favorite target, for the night at least in Kevin Ogletree (New York Native) with 8 catches for 114 yds for 2 TDS. Eli Manning threw for 213 yds with no picks or tds while Victor Cruz had 3 drops. All in all the Cowboys put forth a better effort than the Giants. If Big Blue plans on making a serious push to repeat as Champions of the NFL they must practice harder and to be ready on game day and not treat anyone as a lesser opponent. Now i realize this was just Week 1 and there is no reason to panic, but if this type of play continues it will be a very long and painful season! Both teams have 10 days to get ready for their next games on September 16th when Dallas flies west to Seattle and the Giants will host Tampa Bay.
