Passed Ball Show #27 Part 1
On the first part of the first ever "two" hour Passed Ball Show, John is joined in studio by Boy Meets Machine lead guitarist Christian Colabelli, who is an avid Yankees fan. Former MLB pitcher John D'Acquisto (Giants in the 1970s) calls in to talk pitching and how the pitchers now a days do not have the same conditioning schedules which has lead to lack of stamina. He also talks about throwing his fastball over 100 mph and being second only to Nolan Ryan among fastball speed in the 1970s. We discuss how the value of a pitching coach has gone down from what it used to be. Former MLB infielder Steve Springer (Indians, Mets 1990, 1992) calls in to talk about his mental health program and its impact on today's younger athletes.
